The Team Leader –  Resident Financial Services is responsible for delivering excellence in customer service to support the effective functioning of the Accounts Receivable team based at Head Office.

The Team Leader provides the necessary leadership to support and coordinate the efficient and effective functioning of the team including but not limited to ensuring the highest standards of end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR). From admission to discharge of residents for account set up, billing, account & funding reconciliations, collections, refunds, customer service, month-end reporting, resident query management, compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements.

A competitive market-based salary is on offer for the successful candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Aged Care experience in providing end to end receivables team management minimum of 2 years
  • Strong working knowledge of Aged Care funding model, the fees and charges applicable to Residential Aged Care and the prudential requirements of the Aged Care Act 1997
  • Finance / Accounting qualifications
  • Ability to effectively perform financial and business support functions including GL and AR reconciliations, refunds in accordance with legislation and TLC policy and resident data integrity
  • Well-developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve set targets and meet deadlines
  • Ability to liaise with all stakeholders
  • Minimise outstanding balances and maximise accounts on Direct Debit
  • Identify risks and take steps to minimise or eliminate them
  • Produce reports as required
  • Highly developed computer literacy (including MS Office, Power Point, Excel and position-specific software applications. Knowledge of AIM and MS Great Plains desirable)
  • Ability to identify and implement system and process improvements
  • Assist with information and requirements for legal cases and VCAT applications
  • Demonstrated capabilities in time management, technical skills and attention to detail is a must
  • Positive attitude and proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Flexible and innovative approach to providing financial services in a fast-paced environment
  • Respects the dignity, privacy and individuality of residents, patients and staff and maintains confidential information
  • Ability to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check
